CNBC is usually rolling in my office, on mute. I learned the mute trick when I worked on a trading floor. None of traders listened to what the people on CNBC were saying, they just watched for headlines and then turned up the volume if something big happened.
I remember that the guys just liked watching the hot women on CNBC, both the reporters and guests. And I know that’s sexist. But let’s be honest, there are more male traders than women traders – men take more risks and trading is a risky career. By definition, you take risk all day when you’re a trader.
Today was no exception with hot women infiltrating CNBC. Check out this 19 year-old supermodel who is on the cover of Sports Illustrated. She was just on CNBC today. When they asked where she thinks she’ll be in 10 years she said “I just want to enjoy this moment and go to Vegas.”
God bless being 19 and on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Sadly Sports Illustrated reported that by the time professional athletes have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress because of joblessness or DIVORCE.
I’d started with this $4 million base salary, but then I looked at my bank statement, and I just went, What the…?”
What the…..maybe you should’ve gotten a prenup.
